asphyxia officials said The death was investigated by Wilbraham police who declined comment except to say it was ac cidental No further details were available from the medical exam office Paige was promised I Aime Tanguay dead of natural causes The death of a Springfield man Saturday nearly four months after being shot as an innocent by stander during a Christmas Day convenience store robbery was at tributed to natural causes by an autopsy report issued yesterday Aime Tanguay 63 of 481 New bury St had been critically in jured when shot in the stomach by a man robbing the Jane Alden Store at 907 Carew St Spring field police said Tanguay was described as an in nocent bystander who may have moved toward the robber when he was shot police said In January police arrested Garry Michaud 31 of 97 Knoll wood Ave on charges of assault and battery in connection with the shooting and on five counts of armed robbery while masked in connection with a series of conve nience store hold ups in the area An autopsy performed yester day by Medical Examiner Dr Ste phen Adams determined that Tan death was due to a of natural officials said Tanguay died at Mercy Hospi tal He had been hospitalized
